Julia and her Mother, Tiglaka, were a part of Whistler's Band that had separated from the Band of  Spotted Tail.

In 1870 Whistler's Band was camped along Medicine Root Creek in Southern Nebraska , where Julia met Morty Clifford, my Great Grandpa, who had come to live with the Band.

   Pictured above are a pair of  hand made, hand beaded gloves made by my Grandma Delilah Midkiff, Julia's daughter.
