Some languages are said to be romance languages, others languages sound cold and harsh but the Lakota language is a language of the spirit. It is a language that reflects what is most important in life. Many of our values spoken in English seem to be only surface concepts that do not touch our hearts and spirits. This is so because our philosophy for life in ingrained in our language something that English cannot define.
